How it works

Crodeon Technologies designs and builds products for end users with no technical skills or for those who have no time for coding. Sometimes you want things to just work out-of-the-box.

Our technology is all about plug & play usability. The Crodeon Reporter has either three or six connectors, each of which fit any of the sensors in our shop. The only thing that changes depending on the sensor, is the firmware that we generate when shipping your Reporter. When your Reporter arrives in the mail, you plug the sensors in the right connector, turn on the device and your data will show up on the Crodeon Dashboard.

So any combination is possible?

That's right. Any sensor combination of your choice can be shipped. We don't charge extra for this customization because generating your Reporter's firmware is just a few clicks of work.

How is the Reporter powered?

The Reporter has a large lithium-ion battery on board. This allows the device to keep operating when grid power goes down. Depending on the configured measurement interval and the kind of sensors that are connected, the Reporter can keep operating between 2 days and 3 weeks on end without power supply. For applications where grid power is unavailable or unreliable, solar power might be a solution. For a plug and play compatible solar power, take a look at our 10W monocristalline panel with M12 connector.

How do I order?

Browse through our shop and select the sensors of your choice. Each sensor uses one connector on the Reporter, so depending on your required amount of sensors, select either the Standard Reporter (up to 3 sensors) or the Max version (up to 6 sensors). Make sure you don't order more sensors than your Reporter can handle, as you can't swap different types of sensors without contacting Crodeon for this.

Because of limitations enforced by our SIM card provider, we only ship to the countries listed below. In order to prevent complaints, we do not accept orders from other countries through the webshop. However, get in touch if your country is not listed. We might be able to work something out.

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

We are mainly focused on business customers and that's why all prices exclude VAT. Belgian VAT is 21% which will be added during checkout. Companies with a valid European VAT number should not pay VAT (more info here). Create an account in the shop and send us an email mentioning your VAT number at If it's valid we will modify your account so that no VAT is charged.

What is the Crodeon Dashboard?

Transmission of sensor data to the cloud happens instantly over a 2G wireless connection. Every Crodeon Reporter is out-of-the-box connected to the Crodeon Dashboard. You only need a browser and your username/password to get started.

The Crodeon Dashboard is a lightweight web application with a responsive design which means it runs great on laptops, tablets and smartphones. Data can be visualized in the tool, exported to Excel or accessed through our API.

Configuring your Reporter is also done through the Crodeon Dashboard. Turn the device on/off and modify settings such as measurement interval, device name, alarm thresholds, alarm delay and sensor calibration with just a few clicks.

What about the subscription?

Every Reporter comes with a yearly subscription. This covers pretty much everything you can think of, including use of the Crodeon Dashboard, first line support, connectivity, the SIM-card, sms/email notifications and storage/back-ups of your data. Finally, we also watch the health of your device and will get in touch if anything is wrong before you even noticed. This is what we call the Crodeon managed IoT experience.
